There are many different types of lumber and each of them is used for their specific purpose. From framing, to trim, to exterior finishes; the right lumber for the job at hand is definitely needed. Here are a few types and their main purpose:
- Structural Lumber is used primarily for building homes, and other residential construction, and even used on some commercial projects. It’s milled from softwoood, such as spruce, pine, and fir and their standard dimensions are 2×4, 2×6, 2×8, etc.
